Equine Therapy: At Shepherd Farms South Texas, we live to serve the selfless. As a veteran my wife and I also understand the difficulty of reentry into “normal” life with family and friends. Truth is that life just no longer feels the same way we left it. Our heart breaks over the pain that each serviceman and servicewoman who may have physically survived the horrors of war but faced to confront the realities of what is called normalcy.
We here at Shepherd Farms also provide Equine Therapy, safety and sanctuary as the servicemember heals and recovers from the wounds of the battlefield in hopes of establishing a better relationship with their spouse, family and the rest of the world. We also understand that war is not the only trauma that individuals face, and we are prepared to meet you where you are.
