About Us

Shepherd Farms South Texas (SFSTX) mission is to connect people, veterans, and first responders to nature and farm-grown food. Through hands-on education, partnering with local food banks, schools and other organizations, and learning gardening, farming, and healthy eating, including introducing petting and animal therapy to those who find it difficult to connect with others while coping with life changes.

Food Bank

Shepherd Farms’ primary mission is to provide food and hope to families in need through our twice-monthly outreach. We provide both perishable and non-perishable food items to ANYONE in need of help – no strings attached: Veterans, First Responders, and others. There is no regard to race, religion, age, social or financial status.

This organization also provides food to individuals and families who, for whatever reason, find themselves without enough to make it through the day or week. We also welcome volunteers to come out and be part of our demonstration of love and compassion at one of our biweekly distributions, including assisting with various projects throughout the farm and ranch.
